The Rosewood Merchant Association, in partnership with All-in Entertainment and Liquid Assets, is gearing up to bring Louisiana’s style to the Midlands on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the 3rd annual Rosewood Crawfish Festival!
Come join the fun from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. as lovers of all things Cajun fill Rosewood Drive and revel in one of the city’s favorite celebrations, featuring fresh Louisiana grown crawfish prepared by a Creole chef and other great food, two stages of live music from local and national acts and fun for the whole family!
Music:
From nationally-renowned headliners Cowboy Mouth and Cracker to Columbia’s own King Hippo, Josh Roberts and the Hinges and Sunshone Still, this year’s festival line-up is sure to please music lovers of all kinds.
Family Fun:
Creative types can marvel at the exquisite designs of local artists at Art’s Alley; families will enjoy a special showcase of local performances at the Community Expo Area and be awed by the high flying spectacle at the Street Vaulting competition; and the little ones will love the Kid’s Area with face painting, crawfish races, rides, inflatables and much more!
Building the Community:
With a majority of festival proceeds going to improve Rosewood Community parks, recreational sites and greenways, this event is one that truly gives back. A portion of the funds collected will also be donated to local charities.
Admission & Parking:
Tickets to the Rosewood Crawfish Festival are $10 at the gate with discounted tickets available at Dano’s Pizza, Rosewood Market, Manifest Discs and all Midlands Publix Grocery Store locations. Children 12 and under can enjoy free admission to the festival.
Parking for the festival is located at the RV parking lot adjacent to the State Fair Grounds on the corner of Rosewood Drive and Assembly Street. Buses will run in 15 minutes intervals to and from the festival gates. There will be a small charge to park in this secure lot.
